Simulated trapped electrons
Simulation of Trapped Electrons

Simulation of several trapped electrons, each of which has a different pitch angle. Electrons with smaller pitch angles travel further in the axial direction. The color scale, from red to blue, indicates cyclotron frequencies ranging from 26.2 GHz to 26.4 GHz, respectively.

Funded by the US Department of Energy, the US National Science Foundation, the University of Washington, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Yale University, the PRISMA Cluster of Excellence at the University of Mainz, and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology
